Harris Tweed Care Guidance
Harris Tweed is enduringly stylish yet resilient enough to be used on Tetrad’s upholstery – made from pure virgin 100% wool and hand woven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides. The iconic cloth is the only fabric material protected by act of Parliament.
Naturally warm and soft, the tweed is washed, beaten and pressed to unsure no itchiness. Harris Tweed is an excellent insulator that traps air in the fibres to keep you warm in the winter and cool summer.
We recommend the following general care instructions to ensure that your furniture continues to look best.
To keep your new sofa or chair looking good we advise that you delicately brush/vacuum your upholstery once a week. If you allow dust and dirt to accumulate the colours will dull and wear will be accelerated.
Wherever possible minimise the contact with pets and your furniture as pet hairs can entangle themselves within the fabric
