Here at Contrast we understand that our customers like to exercise their taste and personality by selecting their own covers for our characteristic shapes.To facilitate this we offer a wide range of hides and fabrics to choose from.
The majority of our covers, whether fabric or leather, are natural products from the UK and Europe.
Our hides are sourced from reputable European tanneries primarily using full grain hides for quality, feel & longevity. A tactile and supple material yet incredibly durable due to its unique natural structure; each hide will improve over time and develop a patina and characteristic of its own. Less than 5% of a Tannery's production will meet the exacting standards required for use on Contrast furniture. Each hide has unique characteristics and markings plus colour and texture will vary as no two hides are the same. Character is defined by natural markings the most common being healed scars, scratches and scuff marks or natural grain changes. All this ensures that your piece of furniture has a unique look.
Our fabrics are also produced by European Mills using the best quality yarns. We use natural fabrics like Cotton, Wool and Viscose to ensure soft sumptuous feel and strength.
Wool is a natural fibre that is particularly well suited for use in upholstery. It offers luxury and comfort as well as reliability and durability - giving a warm and attractive appearance. Another benefit of Wool is that it is both a natural insulator, keeping you warm in cooler temperatures; and a natural wicker, drawing moisture away from you to assist your bodies cooling system.
If however you cannot find a cover to suit your needs our furniture can be produced in fabric of your choice (this is of course subject to fabric suitability and appropriate fire test certification).
